Setting Up Scheduled Audits

Automate your SEO monitoring with recurring audits.

Why Schedule Audits?

Websites change constantly—new content is published, old pages are updated, plugins get modified, and technical issues can appear without warning. Scheduled audits ensure you catch problems before they impact your search rankings.

  • Catch issues early before they affect rankings
  • Track SEO health over time
  • Monitor the impact of website changes
  • Get alerts when new problems appear
  • Ensure consistent SEO quality

Setting Up a Schedule

Step 1: Go to Project Settings

Navigate to your project and click on the Settings tab. Scroll to the "Scheduled Audits" section.

Step 2: Choose a Frequency

Select how often you want audits to run:

  • Daily: For high-traffic sites or sites with frequent updates
  • Weekly: Recommended for most sites. Good balance of monitoring and resources.
  • Monthly: For smaller sites or those with infrequent changes

Step 3: Set the Time

Choose when audits should run. Consider:

  • Running during off-peak hours to minimize any server impact
  • Scheduling before your team's work day so results are ready to review
  • Avoiding deployment windows when your site might be in flux

Step 4: Configure Alerts

Set up notifications for audit results:

  • Email alerts: Get notified of new critical issues
  • Slack integration: Post results to your team channel
  • Score threshold alerts: Get notified if health score drops below a threshold

Recommended Schedules

E-commerce Sites

Daily audits recommended. Product pages change frequently, and issues with products can directly impact revenue.

Content Sites / Blogs

Weekly audits recommended. New content should be checked, but changes are typically less frequent.

Corporate / Brochure Sites

Weekly or monthly audits. Less frequent updates mean fewer opportunities for issues.

Viewing Historical Data

All scheduled audit results are stored and available for comparison. Use the historical view to:

  • See how your health score has changed over time
  • Identify when specific issues first appeared
  • Measure the impact of your SEO improvements
  • Spot recurring problems
